A Moche-Chimu Silver Sheet Bird Pendant<br><em>ca. 750 - 1000 CE</em> Sculpture - Architectural It is often found nearMasterfully crafted from sheet silver, the small bird pendant features a head with a triangular beak and pronounced eyes, wings tucked and extending behind the body, outstretched feet with talons, and wedge shaped tail, a small suspension loop with remnants of ancient cord between the wings. The body of the bird is formed from two separate sheets soldered together that open at the tail, cleverly forming a small pair of tweezers. In ancient Peru,
