Hypno Ability: Sudden Sleep Once during your turn, when you play this card from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokmon, you may make your opponent's Active Pokmon Asleep
Play itself is supremely satisfying: creatures take a run-up before doing damage, and the resulting battle sound effects give me a proper kick of power-lust when I smash pain into my opponents, plus a genuine sense of despair when they retaliate
They also provide good reprints for people who play other formats
But before we just go down the avenue of -1/-1 counters, like sliding in Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and and Archfiend of Ifnir, think about the idea of using other kinds of counters, even +1/+1 counters that make your opponents creatures better
The Shadowless Charizard is made especially rare and valuable by the absence of a printed shadow effect alongside the side of the cards artwork frame
